If you’re searching for insurance agent photos in Mackay, this branding session with Elders Insurance is the perfect example of how to create images that truly reflect your business.
Michelle and Steve, franchise owners of Elders Insurance Mackay for over 20 years, wanted more than just standard headshots. They needed a full gallery that showed the real scope of what they offer – business, fleet, farm, and personal insurance – all through authentic, professional imagery.
So, we planned a session that would bring their brand to life across multiple environments.
Instead of staying in one space, we mapped out five different locations across Mackay. Each location represented a different part of their services.
We photographed in:
This gave their final gallery so much variety. It also made their marketing more powerful because each image now speaks directly to a specific client type.
Because this was a 4-hour shoot with multiple moving parts, we didn’t leave anything to chance.
We used a Pre-Session Planning Guide to map out every detail. This ensured we stayed aligned on timing, locations, outfits, and brand messaging.
This level of planning made the day run smoothly. It also allowed the team to feel confident stepping into each scene.
And honestly… that confidence shows in every image.
Wardrobe played a huge role in tying everything together.
The team wore:
At the farm, the guys added Akubra hats, which gave the images a strong, authentic rural feel.
We also brought in local business representatives to act as “clients” in the photos. This helped create natural, real-life interactions that reflect how the Elders Insurance team actually works day-to-day.
One of my favourite moments from this session happened during the headshots.
One team member said she felt awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera. Totally normal, but still tough in the moment.
Instead of rushing, I slowed things down. I guided her through simple poses and asked her to trust the process. Then I showed her the back of the camera.
Her reaction? She LOVED the photo.
That’s exactly why I take a leadership role during sessions. My goal is always to help people feel confident and look their best, even if they start out unsure.
