Details of the Grounds

Ceremony Spaces

At Dolphin Heads Resort, you can choose between two outdoor ceremony spaces. The first is a tropical garden setting on the Oceanfront Deck, which offers a sunset backdrop over the ocean. Your ceremony will have a decorated arbor set with covered white chairs. For a larger wedding, a stage can be set up between the palm trees, and you can pick any spot you desire among the palm trees for a more intimate ceremony. The second space is directly on the beach, set up among the palm trees. You will have views of the Southern Whitsunday Islands behind you with a beautiful rocky beach.

Indoor Receptions

When it comes to your reception, Dolphin Heads Resort offers multiple options. First, The Dolphin Room is a perfect space for cocktail-style events for guests of 10-100. With high ceilings, a bar, and a dance floor, you will have a gorgeous space for a fun time.

The next option is Salt by Urban Kitchen. With room for up to 100 seated guests, you will be surrounded by glass windows, waterfront views, and lighting. You will also be able to have a dance floor set up until it’s time for dinner.

Outdoor Receptions

Do you prefer an outdoor reception? Then the next option might be a perfect fit. The Deck at the Dolphin Heads Resort is excellent for a cocktail-style reception! This is the best location for couples wanting to have a live band at their wedding. It also offers a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with picturesque views. If you’re having an intimate gathering with up to 40 guests, you can also choose the Poolside Marquee and Beach Hut. The space will feature wooden tables and chairs for all of your guests to dine poolside. The Oceanfront Beach Club is also available for up to 60 guests with a buffet or plated meals. It offers a rustic charm with tiered bench seating.

Getting Ready Rooms

If you want to get ready on-site, the Dolphin Heads Resort has three room options, both with a studio or family room. The Garden View studio room holds three people, and the family room handles five. Both the studio and family rooms for the Pool View hold three people. Finally, the Ocean View studio holds two people, and the family room can hold five. The rooms are full of natural light, creating an excellent space for your getting-ready portraits.
