Why would an Aussie hire a SEO & business coach from another country? Simply, there wasn’t anyone standing out to help where I am. I might cope some flack about not hiring locally, but why not hire someone who’s leading by example? Someone who’s been there, done that? Someone who walks the walk? It was January 2020, I was a mum of one working in accounts with a passion for photography, desperately wanting another child and to make photography a sustainable job. I had returned from Christmas break and within three days, handed in my notice. 2020 was going to be my year…

I can’t quite recall the exact moment I that heard of Kyle, no doubt he commented on a post in one the various photography Facebook groups I’m in, and somewhere I decided to book a discovery call – that is something I remember clearly. The discovery call was eye opening. It really hit home that you don’t know what you don’t know. I was blogging all my sessions, BUT with the same SEO keyword. I was making my own website, BUT with no SEO keywords. I have a good style and live in a beautiful part of the world… He went on to show me a tool for the keyword(s) I was using, and guess what… I was doing all this work for it not to be found by anyone! And the one keyword I was using, I was competing against myself (cannibalising). Ouch.
After that discovery call, I could have walked away. I could have dismissed him. Instead I was curious and wanted more for all my effort. I couldn’t keep doing all this work, keeping away from my family. Was this the piece I was missing? YES 100%.
