Calling all teens! There is a space for teens to hang out and connect. It’s safe and full of support. Created by teens for teens is Teen Shed Mackay. Teen Shed Mackay is a local community initiative for children 12-18 to socialise, get advice, attend activities and workshops. A place where you can be you.
About Teen Shed Mackay
A not-for-profit group, is a preventative resource for teens in Mackay. Away from safe places like school and home Teen Shed Mackay has doors open to all teens to hang out. Teens will find programs and support to help create happy, healthy safe lives. This is a space place free of judgement where they can develop life long skills to take in to adulthood.
How to support Teen Shed Mackay
Volunteer at events. Be apart and make important decisions be becoming a committee member. Being a mentor to support, listen and spend time with the teens. Offering your skill set to share with teens. Financially supporting this empowering teen service, you donate and take up a corporate sponsorship.
Getting Involved at Teen Shed Mackay
- Become a Teen Ambassador and make a change. You can make a difference in other teen’s lives. You can discuss and share ideas to be a voice for all teens in Mackay.
- Parents and community members are greatly appreciated with any support. Become a volunteer and Teen Shed can provide training and reach out to you see how you can help.
- Join the membership! $10/family for one year, you’ll help fund the dream for a permanent location for Teen Shed. Also you will have exclusive access and discounts to events.
