When friend and photographer Kim Deluca and I caught up over a coffee, there was the opportunity on the horizon for Kim to photograph a beautiful couple for their rustic wedding in Emerald.
This would be my first time teaming up and being a second wedding photographer, and it was so much fun! Well we joked that we didn’t see each other much. I was with the groom. Kim was with the bride. We joined up for the couple’s private first look (a must do!!) and bridal party portraits, before parting ways with the groom to meet his family and await the arrival of his gorgeous bride via helicopter!
A cheerful ceremony full of love and laughter. It was all beginning to fall into place what made these two humans incredibly special. Their words to one another; intently listening and observing.
As the newest husband and wife took off for their Just Married portraits, cocktail hour was well underway and the guests were getting ready to party! The party started with the most amazing, kind and carefully worded speeches. It continued with foot thumping, singing, dancing and even jumping a skipping rope made from napkins! – I am still surprised how no one was injured! The whole place was buzzing!
It was a privilege to work alongside Kim, to support one another and provide the very best photographic experience to a sweet couple and their families. Thank you Kim for choosing me x
Congratulations B&G, and enjoy your new venture in the north! xx
