Inspired by Funnel Bay’s tropical forests and stunning ocean views, Kevin and Dolores Beasley created the luxury boutique resort Yangaro. They embarked on the dream of creating a tropical haven to share with family, friends, and guests worldwide. The family aspired to share the beauty of their little-known paradise in the Whitsundays and create a luxurious, welcoming, and relaxing space. With their efforts of working side by side with architect Chris Beckingham, the Bradleys imagined and built their stunning first house, the Emerald House. They have since continued to evolve and facilitate a vision of luxury tropical experiences in their own oasis.
Just ten minutes from the picturesque Airlie Beach, Yangaro is located in Funnel Bay at the centre of the Whitsundays. The resort is home to eight spacious, private, and architecturally designed luxury villas. Each piece of paradise is set amongst the beautiful gardens, mountains, and serene waters of Funnel Bay. The Sapphire Villa has three bedrooms and a private pool and sleeps six people. The Turquoise Villa features a private infinity pool, has three bedrooms, and sleeps eight.
The Azure and Indigo Villas sleep six guests across three bedrooms. The Celeste Villa has three bedrooms and a private pool, while the Aqua Villa sleeps eight people across four bedrooms. Finally, the Topaz Villa sleeps 16 guests across eight suites and has its own private jacuzzi. A new villa that sleeps 12 will arrive in January 2023. According to the owners, it will be “the jewel of the Yangaro crown.” In these villas, Yangaro’s guests can relax, unwind, reconnect with nature at their leisure, and bond with their families. The community structure of the houses allows large groups of people to connect and experience a world different than their own.
The name mirrors the vibrant philosophy of the resort: Yang, meaning the passion and brightness of the yin yang, and Ngaro, honouring the indigenous people of the land. The resort seeks to create memorable, unique experiences for every guest. But, most importantly, prides itself on connecting families, friends, and colleagues to the beautiful paradise of Funnel Bay. The surrounding areas are waiting to be explored: the Littoral Rainforest sits parallel to the resort, and the marine wetlands run slightly South. You will also find the legendary Great Barrier Reef, National Parks, and several waterfalls that will create a paradise you will never forget. If you’re looking for an overlook, several bushwalking trails and scenic areas are accessible by foot, including the Honeyeater Walk, the Whitsunday Cairn Trail, and Hydeaway Bay nearby.
Yangaro is a dream destination for events: from celebrations for two or guest lists up to 54, you have the option to host corporate events, weddings, private events, wellness retreats, and additional events throughout the many stunning indoor and outdoor spaces of Yangaro. The employees assist in suggesting trusted vendors that will make your wedding a breeze. On the premises of the resort, you will find open decks, game rooms, a library, exclusive access to the beachfront lawn (the size of a football field), a creek viewing area, conference facilities, and several indoor and outdoor spaces for entertaining like a barbecue area and beautiful gardens.
The magnesium pools offer several health benefits like soothing your muscles, moisturising your skin, relieving stress, and detoxing your body. In addition, the Clubhouse—the resort’s wellness centre—has a fitness centre equipped with Technogym equipment, a rock wall, a steam room, a plunge pool, and a jacuzzi.
The resort combines a spa and island paradise and offers guests the potential to embrace a rewarding and pleasurable lifestyle. In terms of dining, the resort provides Picnic Grazing Boxes for breakfast and lunch. You can also choose a unique “Chef’s Table” experience featuring your own personal chef. This is where the resort “brings the restaurant to you.” There is even an option to hire a personal chef for your stay. In addition, mixologist services are available for events.
The only trouble you will have at Yangaro is deciding where to spend your time or host your event. The resort is a photographer’s dream: the lush, tropical landscape makes way for beautiful wedding photos. The garden area, Flame Tree Creek, and the Orchard are some places on site with the perfect background. In addition, the beaches are picturesque and look like they came right out of a magazine. There is an overwhelming amount of beauty in the region waiting for you.
Elegant, luxurious, and magical, Yangaro’s hypnotising waters and tropical oasis are perfect for whatever you want. Whether it be a grand celebration or a peaceful reset. The resort seems to be effective no matter what you plan to celebrate, regardless of the significance. The employees at Yangaro invite you to step into their shoes and live in their paradise: a dream come true of a resort and the perfect place to visit.
